Here’s what I walked into: no design critiques, wireframes as afterthought. What to build was guided by the most favored leaders’ asks, with zero formulaic or pragmatic approach. Knowing what the next release should be: out of sight or knowability.

Getting buy-in without drama

Here’s what wasn’t working: product showed up to the game in a reactive rather than proactive strategy. My go-to move when we’re stuck between business risk and UX debt — establishing a common decision making rubric, ensuring teammates created consistency from which we could measure our design direction.

Here’s how I built trust and got results. I’m the “make-product-love-design-again” person. When 3 PMs are pulling design in 3 directions, I find what upstream leadership declares as goal, I empirically question and endorse or redirect. When CPO says "We already know what users want.” I seek to fortify or find the answer to the question what do our users want.
